Eye-catching artworks receive high praise

We are thrilled to reveal that Year 12 student, Gabby, was last night announced as a category winner at the 2022 St George’s Cathedral Art Exhibition!

Gabby won the Mixed Media and Textiles category for her stunning artwork entitled ‘Water Bodies’, which was inspired by the “motion and expressiveness of the water” that she witnessed during trips to the beach throughout summer.

St Mary’s success at the exhibition did not end there.

Year 12 student, Ashlee, received a Highly Commended honour for her eye-catching mixed media and textiles creation entitled ‘Under the Skin’ and another talented Year 12, Caris, had her beautiful painting, ‘Masculinity v Femininity’, displayed at the limited exhibition.
