Year 6s crowned state champions

We are thrilled to announced that our Year 6 Da Vinci Decathlon team was today crowned Western Australian State Champions!

Ashleigh, Amelia, Kaia, Ella, Vivian, Isabella and Madeline combined their academic talents to leave the competition in their wake at the University of Western Australia’s Winthrop Hall.

They won the Art and Poetry, Code Breaking and Creative Producers disciplines, placed second in Legacy and Science, and secured third place in English.

Academic Centre for Enrichment Teacher, Mrs Dencker Morrison, said the girls’ success was testament to their hard work

“They worked seamlessly together, demonstrating excellent collaboration,” Dencker said.

“At the competition, they provided each other with encouragement and support throughout the day, showing resilience, determination and being fantastic role models for St Mary’s.

“I am extremely proud of them.”
