On behalf of the entire St Mary’s community, we wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2023 on their outstanding WACE results. This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, and their achievements are testament to their dedication, resilience and unwavering commitment to discovering their best.
At St Mary’s, we pride ourselves on empowering each student to take their best path towards achieving academic excellence, whether through our ATAR or Elevate pathways. The Class of 2023’s accomplishments reflect the spirit of aspiration that defines our St Mary’s community.
The collective efforts of our students have truly shone brightly, and we are thrilled to share some incredible statistics that highlight the exceptional performance of our graduates.
St Mary’s median ATAR was 92.05. Three students – Misree, Sarah and Siena – achieved the highest possible ATAR of 99.95. This feat is nothing short of remarkable, considering that only 17 students across the State attained this outstanding ATAR.
We are also thrilled to share that five students – Anya, Katrina, Misree, Sarah and Siena – received General Exhibition awards, ranking them among the top 50 ATAR students in Western Australia. Moreover, two of the girls ranked second and third in the State.
It also gives us great joy to announce that St Mary’s students won five Subject Exhibitions, which are awarded to the top students in WA for a specific subject.
Our Subject Exhibition winners were:
Amy: Marine and Maritime Studies
Anya: Literature
Lucy: Mathematics Applications
Sarah Flahive: French and Italian
Additionally, 14 students received a Subject Certificate of Excellence, ranking them among the top 0.5% of students in WA for a specific subject.
The breakdown of our students’ ATAR achievements truly showcases the cohort’s dedication to their studies.
- 12% of ATAR candidates achieved an ATAR over 99
- 20% of ATAR candidates achieved an ATAR over 98
- 37% of ATAR candidates achieved an ATAR over 95
