Debating stars rise to the challenge

Year 9 students Jade and Lily recently showcased their exceptional debating talents in the Grand Final of the British Parliamentary Debating Competition, securing an impressive second-place finish in Western Australia.

This achievement highlighted their outstanding critical thinking, communication and debating skills.

Throughout the competition, Jade and Lily demonstrated a keen awareness of global events, delivered logical and persuasive arguments, and skillfully countered opposing teams, all within a high-pressure setting.

Their success is testament to their dedication and preparation, as well as their ability to excel in one of the most challenging debating formats.
