Girls enjoy stargazing experience
POSTED October 31 2022 , News
Our Year 4 students embraced an opportunity to peer into space alongside their fathers and father figures on Friday 28 October.
The group enjoyed a picnic under the stars before lapping up a 45-minute presentation from Gingin Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory astronomer, Mitch.
The girls learnt just how huge the universe is, why the moon is pitted like it is, and what the rings of Saturn and other planets are made of.
Following the presentation, the students enjoyed an hour of stargazing before clouds set in. They viewed the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn!
