Hair and a charitable record tumbles

Plenty of hair and a fundraising record tumbled at St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School on 9 June when 63 Year 12 students and six Year 11 girls participated in the School’s 2022 World’s Greatest Shave event.

Two brave students had their heads shaved, while the remaining girls bade farewell to their ponytails to raise valuable funds for the Leukemia Foundation.

Needless to say, the School’s wonderful community rallied behind the girls and at the time of print they had donated more than $88,000 to the most worthy cause.

Thanks to the efforts of its selfless students and the generosity of the School community, St Mary’s has now raised more than $178,000 for the Leukemia Foundation over the past three years.
