Small class sizes and dedicated teachers

Our Kindergarten and Pre-primary staff are all experienced teachers who specialise in early learning.

Our Kindergarten has a maximum of 20 girls per class and Pre-primary a maximum of 24 girls to ensure we provide a personalised education experience. 

Outdoor education

St Mary’s girls don’t need buses and special trips to enjoy and benefit from the outdoors.

Our school is located in Karrinyup next to beautiful bushland with easy access to stunning coastline and beaches.

Outdoor education starts in Kindergarten and goes through to Year 12.

The early learning programs make the most of our spacious school grounds and sports facilities and we believe students show increased emotional wellbeing and resilience as a result.

Specialist teachers for everyone

In addition to our classroom teachers, we provide specialist teachers for music, dance and sport in our early years.

This provides a wonderful blend of effective academic learning and stimulating experiences beyond they classroom

Our experienced and dedicated early learning staff provide a range of play-based activities to develop your daughter’s literacy and numeracy skills, ignite her curiosity, develop her creativity and build her social skills.  

The building blocks – reading, writing and maths

We focus on ensuring our students have a great start to the education building blocks of reading, writing and mathematics. 

Our Little Learners Love Literacy program is based on the science of learning to read. The program uses phonics teaching to support all children to become successful readers and spellers.

We also focus on delivering an engaging Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) program and offer students a wide range of thought-provoking Inquiry Learning projects.
With our dedicated Junior School Science Lab and our Scientist in Residence program, St Mary’s has a strong education tradition in science.    

Access to external services on site

Another benefit of St Mary’s comprehensive approach to education, is the additional service providers we bring into our school.

We have a speech therapist and an occupational therapist who regularly visit the school for appointments.

Teams of highly experienced teachers

St Mary’s highly experienced teachers work as dedicated teams to help our students grow.

With regular reviews, the teams make sure they know the progress of every individual child. This means our teachers can always give meaningful, insightful and caring feedback to parents.

We provide continuous reporting to parents, twice per term. If additional academic support is identified as needed for a student, then this can be delivered on campus and for no extra charge.

Our teachers provide ‘continuity of care’ for each student. Unlike other schools with high staff turnover, the stable team at St Mary’s carefully manages handovers when students move from one year level to the next.  

Parent support

Parents are encouraged to participate in school life with their daughters.

We frequently run parent information sessions to help parents raise ideas or concerns and understand how to best assist their daughters develop their academic, emotional and social skills.

The St Mary’s Parents’ Society provides all parents with opportunities to develop friendships and contribute to school-related social activities which take place each year.

Fees & Enrolment

The fees at St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School cover all tuition costs.

Kindergarten/Pre-primary fees at St Mary’s are $15,740* per year or $3,935* per term.
