Madeleine awarded coveted scholarship

On behalf of the St Mary’s community, we wish to congratulate Year 12 student, Madeleine, who was recently awarded the Vynka Hohnen Scholarship – a fully funded scholarship to attend Queensland’s Bond University.

The Vynka Hohnen Scholarship is offered annually to a Western Australian Year 12 student who demonstrates a high level of leadership, a history of contributing to their school, a diverse range of interests, a generous nature and a capacity for high academic achievement.

It was established in memory of Vynka Hohnen, a law student at Bond University from May 1995 to December 1997, and is proudly supported by the Hohnen Family and the Western Australian community.  

Madeleine, who will study Architecture, is the third St Mary’s student to accept the Vynka Hohnen Scholarship, following in the footsteps of Robyn Fairbairn (’16) and Cassie Ryan (’18), who both studied Film and Television at the renowned university.
