St Mary’s Years 5 and 6 students recently showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills at the RAC Hackathon held at the WA Museum. The event was a dynamic blend of innovation and education, where the young participants delved into the exciting realms of future transportation and space travel.

Throughout the hackathon, the students were challenged to ideate and develop new modes of transportation, taking inspiration from the museum’s current moon exhibition. This hands-on experience allowed them to explore the possibilities of space travel and imagine the transportation systems of the future.

This event marks the beginning of a larger project that the students will embark on throughout the term. They will continue to refine their ideas and visions, ultimately creating a video exhibition that showcases their innovative concepts. The project will culminate in a grand finale breakfast in Term 4, celebrating the students’ hard work and imaginative contributions.
