Yesterday, 180 Year 10 students representing 39 teams participated in the finale to St Mary’s 2023 i3 Program – the Live Pitch Showcase – where they pitched their digital solution to help solve a UN Sustainable Development Goal to a panel of judges.
Congratulations to the overall winning team, ‘Splash’, who designed an app that leads children on an interactive and competitive learning journey to teach them about the ocean and how they can protect it.
‘Splash’ received the i3 Live Pitch Showcase Perpetual Trophy, kindly sponsored by Bankwest. They will also attend a tour of Bankwest’s Corporate Headquarters with guest speaker, Kate Kirwan from SheCodes, on Monday 4 December.
Second place was awarded to ‘No Qs For U’, third place went to ‘Hand2Help, fourth place was attained by ‘$amepay’ and ‘EcoEyes’ placed fifth. The People’s Choice Award for the best stand was won by ‘Food Miles’.
